A complete south Caucasian or Shahsavan mafrash storage bag with striped base.

Circa 1890.

An excellent example of a mafrash storage bag, used for transporting goods during the migration and for storage within the tribal tent. This example is in plain slit tapestry weave, with a bold and simple design. The base is in striped plain weave.

Excellent condition with slight wear and all natural dyes.
