Christian Lindner (1728 - 1806 Meissen) was a portrait painter and a painting teacher for Meissen porcelain. His son, Christian August was also a painter of portraits and historical scenes. His pupils at the Meissen art school included Johann Samuel Arnhold who was later appointed Court Painter.
A portrait by him of Johannes von Fallenstein can be seen at the National Museum in Munich.
