A beautiful, rich red abrashed ground colour on this lovely antique rug, with gorgeous green at each end of the field. This rug is not afraid, it is a celebration of colour and it cheers me up every time I look at it. Within a broad ivory border of various flowers and vines, this is a fabulous rug. Finely woven and in very nearly full, original pile height. There is some old, localised insect damage on one side which doesn''t distract (see last photo).
