Prometheus Antiques has dated this Silver Angel Relief Plaque to the 1890s.
The piece is created in raised relief with the design having been beaten out from behind in repousse fashion. The work is not signed and the silver is not marked but has been tested. The silver panel is mounted in an oak frame which once would have been a door probably for a table reliquary etc. The panel is framed in a good quality nineteenth century ebonised frame with gilt slip. The whole has a great look and represents a fine piece of Arts and Crafts metal work. C.1890.
