Leeds Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Hand-knotted in fine, supple wool with fringed ends, this is an attractive example of traditional Yomut weaving, rich in colour and character.

An appealing old carpet in fair condition, showing age and wear yet retaining considerable decorative charm, and ready for use.
Dimensions (approximate):
Length: 301 cm (9 ft 11 in)
Width: 174 cm (5 ft 9 in)

Condition:
In fair condition, commensurate with age. The pile is worn, heavily in places, and the reverse shows several taped patches to stabilise areas of previous wear. The fringes have some losses and the edges display general wear. Despite this, the carpet remains sound, attractive, and fully usable. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Clean and ready for use.
As with all antique textiles, signs of age and wear are to be expected and contribute to the authenticity and charm of the piece.
