M Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
This amazing example of English furniture making features a pair of deep drawers to the frieze, with both having naive hand cut cross banding, and a pair of brass swan neck drop handles and lock escutcheons. Below the drawers is a moulded edge with the base being supported by four turned legs.
The overall condition is superb given the age, still being in remarkably solid order.
A rare and desirable piece that would work well in an entrance hall , drawing room or dining room.
