As one would expect with Heriz rugs the colours are wonderful. This is certainly a busy design, there is so much happening that it takes my breath away. The deep inky blue border creates a background to intensify the rich colours of the meandering tendrils and flowers, they interlock with a mesmerising complexity. The border is mirrored in the central rosette that draws the eye in, this is surrounded by an amorphous red field bordered and highlighted by the soft ivory spandrels. These pieces are robust with a strong cotton foundation. This is a very good rug, I think it would brighten up any room and provide a lifetime of interest.
Good condition with a little wear.
