Description

Victorian Mahogany Kneehole Desk, circa 1870

A fine Victorian period kneehole desk in mahogany, dating from around 1870. The oblong top has a thumb-moulded edge with a rear gallery upstand, above a frieze fitted with three drawers. A further bank of three drawers to either side flank a central kneehole with inset cabinet. Each drawer retains its original turned mahogany handles, brass escutcheons and locks. The desk stands on a plinth base and is fitted with four concealed original castors for ease of movement.

A well-proportioned and attractive desk in original condition, carefully cleaned and wax-polished in our workshop, and now ready for immediate use.
