Andros Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The pair of nicely carved corbels at the top of the front pillars add further interest. Presented in restored condition with minor marks showing the pieces history as you would expect of a piece of this age. The Walnut is a gorgeous mellow warm hue.
This piece would be very beneficial in a space-limited environment, such as a cottage or indeed a bijou apartment offering good storage in a small area. Being of a relatively straightforward design the Wellington Chest would work with both a traditional or more modern décor.
