An Art Deco style, Walter Nichols type, Chinese handwoven carpet, approximately 11''11'' x 9''1'', Circa 1920. This attractive old carpet has the pale mushroom grey coloured field sparsely decorated with a lantern, butterflies and plants, enclosed by indigo floral borders. A hand woven carpet finished with selvage ends and fringes. Wool pile and cotton foundations.This high quality antique carpet, with over 100 years of use but still presents very well and is full of charm and character.
