LVS Decorative Arts has dated this piece to the 19th Century.

The cherubs are both seated on faux marble bases with a moulding below.
The cherub is a symbol of innocence and purity as well as being a symbol for love.
This pair of cherubs possibly originate from an important piece of French furniture.

This pair of cherubs are in very good condition for age, are of stable construction and can go straight into a home - these would make a great additional to a mantelpiece or desk.
