Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Regency style spans the early 19th century, drawing heavy inspiration from classical Greek, Roman, and Egyptian architecture, characterised by symmetry, restrained ornamentation, and architectural proportions.

Makers typically utilised dense tropical hardwoods like rosewood or mahogany, often over a pine or oak carcass, featuring brass inlay, gilt bronze mounts, and traditionally joined cabinetwork.

Authentic pieces exhibit period-appropriate joinery such as hand-cut dovetails, genuine timber shrinkage, original patination, and secondary woods consistent with early 19th-century workshop practices.

Ground the piece in a formal living room or dining space, pairing its dark wood grain and classical lines with minimalist contemporary lighting and neutral walls to let the craftsmanship stand out.

Maintain stable indoor humidity levels, keep the timber away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and occasionally apply a quality beeswax polish to nourish the grain without buildup.
