Below the top are three crossbanded frieze drawers, each with brass drop handles. The central drawer opens to reveal an additional leather surface that can be used for writing, which in turn lifts on hinges to provide hidden storage beneath. The desk is supported by twin pedestals, each with an arrangement of six graduating drawers, and stands on a plinth base with castors.
