Antique Waltham full hunter pocket watch, 1890s.

The watch has a grade 22 13-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. This is a good quality movement with gilt plates, screw-set jewels and a Breguet hairspring. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 6,983,971 which dates it back to the second half of the 1890s. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14ct gold filled and was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, supplier to Waltham UK. The case is in good condition.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover (it does not spring up as it would have originally). Inside, there is a glass lens which is in good condition, just minor manufacturing marks but nothing serious at all.

The signed dial has its original blued steel hands. There are a couple of small chips at the edge of the dial, next to number 3.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
