A charming oil on artist board depicting the harbour pier at Polperro by W.A.Moody. The work is a great oil sketch in the impressionist manner, I particularly like the light in the distance and the shadowed foreground. The painting is in good untouched condition and signed to the lower left. The artist W.A.Moody was working in the mid twentieth century in a variety of styles and mediums and was based in Cornwall. The work is framed in the original gilt frame which is in good condition. The reverse of the painting contains the title ‘The harbour pier Polperro’. The painting is a great little oil sketch of an enchanting place.
