The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside both of the case backs, together with the mark JWB for J W Benson. The case is in lovely condition, just the odd small mark but nothing serious at all. Nice crisp engine turned detail to the hinged case back, with a vacant cartouche.
The watch glass is in lovely condition.
The dial is in beautiful condition with pin-set gold hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
