A smart and extremely well made antique Victorian mahogany leather top pedestal desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.
It is of superb quality and is a lovely size, the pedestals stand on plinth bases and this rolls on casters. The drawers have beautifully turned mahogany handles, they have fine, hand cut dovetailed joints and all run smoothly. The top has a gorgeous inset leather top with tooled edges, it has a raised gallery around the back and side edges.
We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. The top lifts off, and this breaks down into three pieces for ease of transport.
