This nineteenth-century French brass jardinière brings grand Regency style to a living space. Rendered in a warm gold colour with a polished finish, the piece is cast in repoussé relief and stands upon four carved paw feet. The oval body displays lobed gadrooning beneath a band of decorative relief moulding, while each side terminates in a detailed lion head handle fitted with a heavy drop ring. Measuring 16 cm high, 46 cm wide, and 35 cm deep, this jardinière works well displayed on top of a dining room sideboard to hold decorative plants or floral arrangements, adding period character to an interior.
