Lovely late 19th century English School painting ,dated 1890. The oil on canvas painting is a well executed depiction of a rural scene with sheep grazing in a field fringed by trees. Despite its age the colours are still vibrant and it has great decorative appeal. There is a signature front and to the rear which looks like ''L. Stroti'' or similar. It is dated 1890 to the rear of the painting. Overall condition is good, in line with age and use. it would benefit from a good clean and there is minor surface rubbing / crazing to the paintwork in places, but all very much as you would expect from an old example. Overall a very genuine example.
