A large mahogany chest of drawers dating from the mid to late 19th Century. They stand on unusual shaped feet and have two short over three long drawers, each with turned wooden knobs. Each drawer is a good deep size offering plenty of storage. The mahogany has developed a lovely rich patina and the top has an ebony inlaid strung border.
They are in good condition for their age and are strong and sturdy. There are some signs of age and use, a few marks and knocks and light surface marks but nothing detrimental. There have been some minor repairs and the whole piece has just been repolished and displays beautifully. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside.
