Fine proportioned Victorian mahogany pedestal desk. The seven drawers, including one long map drawer, of a good, hand-cut, dovetailed construction with solid wood linings, the original turned wooden knob handles with brass detail and working locks. The back and sides are well polished and with a solid mahogany polished top. The top drawer bearing a makers paper label with the date 1854.
