Rare High Quality Large Antique Sofa – Liberty London

This late 19th century antique oak and upholstered sofa if sooooo comfortable! A rare model that dates to around 1890, a design by William Birch for Liberty London. The build quality is absolutely superb, made in solid oak, all pegged construction and in excellent, strong condition. All the original feather filled cushions are upholstered in Liberty London fabric which is lovely and clean. Under the seat cushions are wonderful, hand shaped oak supports. An ample design that has shapely flat arms that are supported by turned spindles. Complete with all the original castors. A fabulous piece of antique seating.
