Antique Afghan Balouch Carpet Runner

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a smart looking hand woven Baluch carpet dating from around 1930. The carpet has typical colour palette of madder red, dark indigo and ivory, with some highlights in a nice leaf green and bright blue. It has an attractive allover design of diamond lattice stylised flowerheads enclosed by serrated leaf multiple borders borders.

In excellent condition throughout the carpet would look well in an antique or more modern setting. It is a good size measuring some 320 cms long by 150 cms wide, so would make an excellent runner carpet for a larger hallway.
