Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The pedestals sit on plinth bases, the inset leather top is gold tooled and has a great patina. The drawers run very smoothly, they have fine, hand cut dovetailed joints and lovely solid brass handles. The back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item. The top lifts off and this breaks down into three pieces for ease of transport.

We have had this recently re-polished, it is in very good condition for its age. There are various small marks here and there remaining beneath the polish, seen in the images and commensurate for age.
