Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Khorasan Baluch rugs are traditionally handknotted by Baluchi nomadic and village weavers residing in the Khorasan region of northeast Persia, known for rich wool quality and distinct tribal iconography.

These textiles typically feature handspun sheeps wool for the pile and foundation, often incorporating natural vegetable dyes such as madder red, indigo, and dark walnut browns.

Authenticity is determined by examining the handknotted asymmetrical weave, natural colour variation in the abrash, goat hair or wool selvedges, and characteristic geometric motifs.

An antique tribal rug adds textural warmth and pattern to contemporary spaces, pairing well with neutral upholstery, polished timber floors, and minimalist architectural elements.

Preservation requires regular gentle vacuuming without beater bars, professional hand washing when necessary, and rotation to ensure even wear and sun exposure.
