An elegant chest of drawers of versatile size and use, measuring 91cm wide and 91cm tall, a dayroom or bedroom furniture piece, hallway or landing of considerable appeal.
The geometric drawer front chest of drawers is a traditional design theme that continued from 17th to the 20th century, popular with interior designers, country house and contemporary tastes.
A very fine early 20th century example with solid oak drawer fronts to pine drawer lining, single plank oak top. The colour and stain are perfect and even, showing evidence of some timeworn rubbing to areas which authenticate character.
Please note that 2 drawer fronts have some minimal bowing which again adds character but does not effect the smooth sliding or firm closing of the drawers. The brass drop handles are original, we have had the bottom right matched and made up at the workshop as it was missing.
A splendid antique chest of drawers of great style, size and colour, it sits well without wobbles or losses, a very nice thing.
