Georgian Bachelors Chest Of Drawers Mahogany, Oak Lined, 3rd Quarter C.18th (george III)

An early George III period, mahogany bachelors chest of drawers, with brushing slide, dating from the 3rd quarter of the C.18th. This chest of drawers of small proportions, with rectangular shaped top with thumb moulded edge. Bank of four full width drawers with moulded edges, brass double swan neck brass handles, brass oval plate escutcheons, and locks, all graduated in height. Moulded base and raised on bracket feet. Oak drawer linings, with bases running front to back.
 
In good working condition, and presents very well. It has been through our workshop and been serviced, thoughtfully cleaned and waxed, and now is very much ready for use.

This chest measures approximately 84 cm (33'') tall, 94 cm (37'') wide, and 49 cm (19.25'') deep.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chest of drawers is in an overall good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Numerous marks and blemishes. Some minor, high quality running repairs. The brass handles are replacements, though are age and style correct. The top and sides both have natural aged splits, which have been filled and wax polished over. Later escutcheons. Original locks. All drawers run well. No loose joints. Fully serviced. Wax polished, now ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
