A superb example of an early 20th Century bronze figurine by the collectable French sculptor Henri Fugère. Beautifully modelled as a elegant Ballerina, the attention to detail and the execution of this piece is exquisite.
Henry Fugère was born in Saint-Mandé in 1872. He studied sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris under Cavelier, Barrias and Puech. He died in Paris in 1944.
Signed to the base and with an excellent patina, this is a wonderful example of his work. Dimensions below.
