Pair Of 19th Century Equestrian Bronze Sculptures

The rearing horses with their grooms, known as Marly Horses. Reductions after the life size originals, carved in Carrara marble by Guillaume Coustou in 1745 and commissioned by Louis XV. This pair are well cast with original dark brown patination c1890
