N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
The chest is super quality and a lovely rich colour which is very difficult to convey through photographs.
There are two smaller drawer over three large drawers which all have lovely drawer fronts which are cushion panelled. The drawers have pretty handles which are of a design in keeping with the piece but have been replaced at some point. The large drawers have key holes with acorn covers (lacking on top drawer). The top is two plank construction. Below the top of the drawer is a lovely carved detailing to the front and sides.
The sides of the chest are nicely panelled. As would be expected from this age and quality of chest the drawers are oak lined. The chest is then raised plain styles with chunky bun feet to the front.
A nice feature is the dovetail joints to the drawers which has been photographed.

As can be seen from the above dimensions this chest of drawers is of lovely proportions.
