This small Yomut Turkmen bag known as a 'kap' or small bag, was used for keeping personal belongings in, it was usually hung up inside the yurt. This example is of a stripe design with rams horns to the elem panel at the base. Note the original closing loops at the top. At sometime in the bags history the plain weave back has been removed.
The bag face is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.
