Very large early 20th century African Yoruba tribal bronze bust, c1920. This is a well cast and impressive African bronze standing at nearly 2 feet tall (58cm) and weighing 4kg. The bronze bust is cast in the lost wax method and has a lovely concave face with traditional tribal decoration. It stands on a woven base and the beard is embellished with leather decoration. The bronze has great colour /patina and condition is good ,exhibiting the usual casting holes etc you get with tribal pieces. Overall an impressive and highly decorative piece of tribal art.
