Antique Yomut Turkmen Palas soumak kilim of large size with unusual long banded kilim ends.
 
Circa 1900.
 
These kilims are of very sturdy construction with a subtle colour palette. Note the very long banded kilim ends. The design is an all over repeat lattice. This example is woven using an outstanding indigo blue, it is used in the field but can be most clearly seen in bands on the decorated long kilim ends. The kilim has a warm colour palette with shades of soft madder red.
 
The kilim is in good condition with very slight wear.
 
The kilim is suitable for normal domestic use.
