This gorgeous bed is brimming with detail. The frame has beautiful carvings as seen in the intricate patterns throughout the frame. Lovely Floral and Ribbon festoon on the foot end of the bed, the detail has been highlighted beautifully by the Sage Green wash. Lovely ribbon and floral crest sit atop the head end. Classic fluting on the feet of both head and foot.
The cane has a lovely tone to it, with some of the original gild finish peeping through the darker tones. Some small repairs.
The frame has been carefully cleaned and waxed to preserve the paint finish.
Professionally restored to be sturdy and practical. The side rails have been strengthened and adapted to support modern king size mattress.
