An authentic French galvanised metal grape hod from Avignon. Once worn on the back and secured by leather straps, these were essential vessels for gathering the grape harvest at at vineyard. Due to mechanisation in the vineyards, hods are now a charming relic of a bygone age. This one is in good condition, the striking black painted decoration is a contemporary addition that gives a fun decorative touch. If using for floral displays we recommend using another container within the hod.
