Prometheus Antiques has dated this 18th Century Still Life Painting to the Georgian era.
The work is not signed as might be expected for this age and style, it does however retain a label on the reverse for Jakob Bogdani. I do not think the painting is by this old master but most likely a sketch taken from or inspired by his work. The painting is in very good untouched condition and is mounted in a later nineteenth/early twentieth century frame, which it has been in for some time. The frame is in good untouched condition and works very well with the piece. The whole has a great period look and is an interesting and decorative piece. C.1750.
