A wonderful antique tribal rug, hand woven by the nomadic Belouch tribe circa 1900. The rug features a classic prayer rug design with stylised trees and flowers on a camel coloured field. Finely woven with soft, lustrous wool and great secondary colours, including an unusual shade of teal.
Size: 1.76m x 0.89m (5ft 9in x 2ft 11in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, some oxidisation to the blue (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
