At the outbreak of the First World Ear he joined the Devonshire Regiment and saw active service abroad.After the war he moved to Dundee and was employed by James Valentine and Sons as a commercial illustrator . ‘Cockington,near Torquay,Devon’signed watercolour,titled verso;image size 25x35cms,framed size 36x46 cms.Original giltwood frame;provenance with Frost and Reed,Bristol and London .One of a set of three watercolours we have in stock by the artist
