Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Yosegi, or Yosegi-zaiku, is a traditional Japanese woodworking technique originating in the Edo period, characterised by intricate geometric mosaic patterns created by combining different naturally coloured woods.

Craftspeople utilised diverse natural timber species such as spindle tree, keyaki, cherry, and walnut, combining laminated patterned blocks before slicing them into thin veneer sheets to apply over hardwood structures.

Authentic pieces display fine geometric wood mosaics, hand-carved floral or mythological motifs, traditional Japanese joinery techniques, and natural surface wear consistent with late nineteenth- or early twentieth-century origin.

Position the desk as a statement focal point within a study or living area, balancing its complex geometric patterns against neutral wall tones and minimalist accent seating.

Keep the timber away from direct sunlight and strong heat sources to prevent veneer warping, dust regularly with a soft microfibre cloth, and apply a specialised natural beeswax paste sparingly.
