Mersham Manor Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
C.1880.
This very stylish desk has two pedestals, which incorporate seven drawers, with a central eighth drawer, which is flanked by two pull-out slides, making extra practical useable space.

The drawer handles are particularly lovely, which are turned ebony centred with bone, which contrasts beautifully. The drawers are hardwood lined and of dove-tail construction.
The tambour roll-top glides smoothly and effortlessly open to reveal a large pull-out writing area, featuring a brand new elegantly gold tooled leather writing surface, in antique tan. With many pigeon holes and storage compartments to the back.

The desk stands on elegant splayed bracket feet.
Can separate in to two sections for ease of moving.
