Stunning Afshar Carpet Circa 1910

1900 - 1920
Description

This is superb antique Afshar carpet from South West Iran with a really fine detail and stunning design which dates from around 1910. The carpet has a great eye catching design with three ivory medallions set within a deep indigo star filled field and enclosed within narrow polychrome borders. The carpet is in excellent condition for its age with ends and selvedges complete and a nice even pile. It measures 255 cms by 166 cms.
