This wonderful late 18thC Georgian chest on chest dates to 1780. It is superb quality. The blind fretwork just below the cornice, the reeded canted corners and flame mahogany drawers are all signs of a top quality piece. The drawer handles are original to the period, there a good dovetail to the drawers as can be seen in photos and the drawers themselves are oak lined. The chest on chest is of good proportions (please see measurements). It stands well on substantial bracket feet and is a very smart countryhouse piece of useful antique furniture.
