Antique Hamadan Rug

1900 - 1920
Description

Pale blues and subtle pink tones are lovely highlight colours on this deep royal blue background colour. Wonderful floral motifs with small vine designs on this beautiful antique Hamadan rug.  Original ends and good subtle colours and an excellent full height soft wool pile.  Ideal for an entrance hall or landing, on a wood floor we always supply excellent rug underlay which stops a rug from slipping all included in the price.

Hamadan is located in the west of Persia and the city was a centre for trading and weaving carpets, hundreds of villages surround Hamadan which produced various designs and qualities of rugs.
