Dating to the late 19th century, this delightful Heriz carpet displays all the characteristics that make this group of Persian carpets such a popular decorating option. The colours are bright and cheerful, from the terracotta background to all the secondary colours such as the greens, yellows and light and dark blues. The geometric design with stylised flowers and arabesques are charming and well drawn. The design strikes a very nice balance between formal elegance and the contemporary taste for hand craftsmanship. Cherished through the generations, this carpet has survived in very good condition. Minor restorations are been undertaken to the ends. Professionally cleaned.
