Description

An antique Hamadann Persiann rug, approximately 6'5" x 3'4", Circa 1920. This rug has an ivory coloured field of flowerhead around a central indigo coloured medallion, enclosed by spandrels and madder borders. A hand knotted rug with short fringe to one end and selvage to the other. Wool pile and foundations.

This rug measures approximately 194.5 cm long including fringes, and 102 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in an overall reasonably good condition, commensurate with its age. The pile is worn, with a couple of low spots. The fringe and selvage ends both with some wear. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Clean and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
