This extraordinarily well-engineered and attractive set of antique country house fire or peat bellows epitomises the advancement in design and manufacture seen throughout the second half of the 19th century. At some stage in the past, this rare set of painted cast iron and brass bellows has been lovingly restored. Now fully working these decorative bellows are a perfect addition to the fireside, creating much-needed draught and conversation. The measurements below are for the bellows set at an average position, however, when they are set at their most acute angle they measure 74 cm high.
