Description

This charming pair of mini saddlebags ('khorjin' in Persian) was made by Bakhtiari nomads in the Chahar Mahal region of western Persia circa 1900. The two faces are in knotted pile and the back is woven in narrow, horizontal, coloured bands of plain-weave. The bags are complete and in excellent condition.
