Description

This pair of small saddle bags was made by Shahsevan tribes in the region of Bijar, north-western Persia circa 1870-1880.

The bags are in mint condition with glorious natural colours throughout, original selvedges and a plain-weave back in horizontal bands of the same colours as used in the front faces.

Size: 56cm x 30cm (1' 10" x 12").
