Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

This 1950s Eterna-Matic wristwatch exhibits a Mid-Century Modern style in solid 14K gold, leather and acrylic, featuring an off-white dial, a round gold case and a black strap. The circular watch face includes gold baton indices, a date window at three o'clock and gold hands, housed within a polished metal bezel. Attached to the top and bottom lugs is a textured black leather band secured with a matching metal buckle. A knurled winding crown projects from the right side of the case, while the acrylic crystal covers the dial and the upper strap connects via visible metal pins. Designed for personal wear, this accessory sits comfortably on the wrist and serves as a functional timepiece for daily use or formal occasions. The compact scale measures 33 cm in case width, 41 cm in case height and 11 cm in case depth, making it suitable for modern wardrobes seeking a classic mid-century aesthetic.

Introduced in 1948, the Eterna-Matic movement incorporated five ball bearings to support the winding rotor, which reduced friction and became a defining milestone in automatic watchmaking history.

Mid-century Swiss timepieces frequently feature solid 14k or 18k gold cases, acrylic crystals, brass movement plates, and genuine leather wrist straps.

Authentic pieces display the five-dot ball bearing logo on the dial, correct manufacturer hallmarks inside the case back, and corresponding movement reference numbers.

As a personal accessory, a vintage dress watch is best displayed on a valet tray, inside a glass-topped watch box, or worn as a classic accent to tailored attire.

Mechanical wristwatches require professional movement servicing every three to five years and should be kept away from water, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields.
