CKB Ltd Emporium & Collectables has dated this Japanese Bronze Dragon Tray to the 1900s.
This is an independent date report produced by Sellingantiques using its own proprietary system. The process uses the photographs shown on this page. The system is never told the date the dealer has declared. This report shows that the two dates corroborate.
The centre is deliberately restrained, allowing the deeply modelled dragon to dominate the composition.

The tray is formed from a dark patinated copper-alloy metal, probably bronze, with warm brown and copper tones visible through areas of surface wear. The reverse retains traces of an old gold-coloured finish and clearly shows the hollow-backed relief construction.

A particularly decorative example of late Meiji Japanese metalwork, combining strong sculptural modelling with one of the most recognisable motifs in Japanese art.
